Today’s episode features an incredibly important person in the online marketing world, and also in my life. I am so excited for you all to hear from Ray Edwards, a world renowned copywriter and my friend, mentor and stand-in father figure. Ray joins us today to share how copywriting can grow your business, and also to get real about his diagnosis with Parkinson’s, pivoting out of a dying industry, and believing the universe is FOR you.

Ray has written copy for some of the best mentors of our time, including Jack Canfield, Tony Robbins and Jeff Walker. His words are estimated to have generated more than $100 million in sales. Ray is also an accomplished speaker, author of several books, including “How to Write Copy That Sells” and host of “The Ray Edwards Show.”

In this episode, you’ll hear about how Ray pivoted out of his 30-year career in radio when mp3 players and iPods hit the market — a move that was risky in the eyes of his peers. He then turned to writing, a skill he had honed in radio, to serve online marketers.

Ray speaks to his motivation for pressing into his career, rather than opting out, after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s, his “awakening” moment. While he struggled with finding his path for a long time, Ray believes we can change our mind if we don’t like the calling we picked. “There are many paths you can go down, and you can go down any of them,” he says.

In addition to opening up about why he believes life happens FOR you, Ray shares why he believes life is abundant. He says that in life, “we find what we go looking for.”

And in keeping a promise to listeners, Ray answers questions about what made him an incredible copywriter.
