When Simone Biles withdrew from multiple Olympic events for her mental health, she received an outpouring of support.

In a statement she said, “The outpouring of love and support…has made me realize I am much more than my accomplishments and gymnastics, which I never truly believed before.”

Her words struck me because she captured an experience we all share. We all are guilty of connecting our worth with our work. Or believing we are only as good as our accomplishments.

We make “what we do” the same as “who we are.”

I want to change that.

In today’s episode you’ll hear:

  • Why it’s NORMAL to connect your worth with your work
  • The importance of finding your value in WHO you are, rather than the title you’ve achieved
  • How to start to find yourself again, after the continuous loop of consuming your identity in your business.
