Are you not getting the support you need as you’re building your business?
Sure, there are hiccups along the way and failures are inevitable. There would be people questioning your capability.
But you have the power.
At the end of the day, it’s what you do with it that really matters.
Here are 7 things to help turn your dream business into reality (no matter how negative people around you can be):
- Choose not to care about negative comments (on social media).
The nasty things people say against you are more about them than it is about you. You can’t let the opinions of strangers on the internet that exist in an app on your phone ruin your day.
- Run with what your intuition tells you.
Your vision was given to you, and not to them. As long as you believe in it, then you just have to run with it. Believe it within your gut that it’s what you’re supposed to do with your life and listen to God at the same time.
- Find people who are in your corner.
Sign up for different memberships for entrepreneurs, for startups, or for freelancers on social media. Some of your biggest cheerleaders may even be people on the internet that you’ve never met.
- Cut ties with people who don’t support you.
You need to be savage sometimes and cut ties with some people who are pulling you down. As they say, you become the sum of the five people you spend most of your time with.
- Dedicate time for rest and self-care.
You could build this amazing company but you can’t lose sight of the fact that you are human and you need to rest. So make sure you don’t burn yourself out.
- Show up consistently.
The secret to success is consistency. It doesn’t just happen overnight and it could take five or ten years. So you need to be prepared to show up consistently.
- Keep things in perspective on a regular basis.
Don’t wait for a family member’s death or something bad to happen before you start to think about life and doing things that make you happy. You have to keep things in perspective regularly.
