- Cut ties with people who don’t support you.
You need to be savage sometimes and cut ties with some people who are pulling you down. As they say, you become the sum of the five people you spend most of your time with.
- Dedicate time for rest and self-care.
You could build this amazing company but you can’t lose sight of the fact that you are human and you need to rest. So make sure you don’t burn yourself out.
- Show up consistently.
The secret to success is consistency. It doesn’t just happen overnight and it could take five or ten years. So you need to be prepared to show up consistently.
- Keep things in perspective on a regular basis.
Don’t wait for a family member’s death or something bad to happen before you start to think about life and doing things that make you happy. You have to keep things in perspective regularly.
