Imagine if you could provide a lifetime of hope in one ten-hour day. What would that be like? I had the opportunity to do just that. This week, I want to talk about my time in prison… meeting with inmates in the Entrepreneur in Training (EIT) program at the RJD Correctional Facility.

It was one of my most hope filled experiences to date. I had the honor of watching 21 grown men, inmates,  graduate from the EIT program in front of their family and loved ones. Some of these men had not touched or hugged their family members in decades.

What this entire experience taught me and is a great reminder for everyone: our dreams may never come to fruition, but it doesn’t mean we get to give up on them or abandon all hope.

In this episode, you’ll also hear about:

  • How the word, “truth,” took on a whole new meaning for me
  • Pursuing your dreams with passion
  • Priority VA’s mantra, “Don’t do it alone.”
  • Knowledge is a privilege
